Overview
The Rolwaling Valley Trek with Daldung La is a premier off-the-beaten-path journey into one of the Himalayas’ most sacred and secluded “Beyuls” (hidden valleys). Situated between the Langtang and Everest regions, this trek avoids the heavy foot traffic of more commercial routes, offering a raw and authentic wilderness experience. The addition of the Daldung La Pass (3,940m) provides an untrodden alternative to the standard valley floor route, rewarding trekkers with early, dramatic panoramas of the Rolwaling Himal and the twin-peaked Mt. Gaurishankar (7,134m).
Throughout the 13-day itinerary, you will immerse yourself in high-altitude Sherpa culture within the villages of Beding and Na, explore the expansive turquoise waters of the Tsho Rolpa glacial lake (4,600m), and witness the towering peaks of Chobutse and Melungtse. The geography is characterized by deep gorges, lush rhododendron forests, and stark alpine pastures, making it a perfect introduction for those looking to transition from leisure trekking to more moderate, secluded mountain adventures.
