Overview
The Yalung Ri Peak Climb (5,630m) is a premier entry-level mountaineering expedition in Nepal’s secluded Rolwaling Valley. It is specifically designed for those who wish to move beyond high-altitude trekking and gain technical experience with crampons, ice axes, and rope work. The climb features a mix of rock, ice, and snow, leading to a summit ridge that offers some of the most profound views of Gaurishankar (7,134m) and the surrounding Himalayan giants.
The Vertical Himalaya itinerary spans 14 days, focusing on a gradual ascent and deep cultural immersion in Sherpa villages that remain largely untouched by mass tourism.
Highlights
- Beginner-Friendly Mountaineering: An ideal first peak for those with little to no prior climbing experience, featuring a non-technical but rewarding ascent.
