Overview
The Tibet Tour with Everest Base Camp is an 8-day overland odyssey through the “Roof of the World,” designed for those who wish to experience the spiritual and geographical heights of Tibet without strenuous trekking. This journey centers on the drive from Lhasa, the heart of Tibetan Buddhism, to the North Base Camp of Mount Everest. Along the way, the tour offers a profound immersion into a land of golden-roofed monasteries, turquoise glacial lakes, and high mountain passes, culminating in a face-to-face encounter with the world’s highest peak from the spectacular northern perspective.
One of the greatest advantages of the Tibet side is the ability to drive directly to Everest Base Camp, making the experience accessible to anyone with a moderate level of fitness. Starting in Lhasa, you will explore the Potala Palace and ancient temples before traversing the Friendship Highway through Gyantse and Shigatse. The route concludes at Rongbuk Monastery, the highest in the world, where the sheer vertical wall of Everest’s North Face creates one of the most powerful natural sights on Earth.
